Why I Started Jeremy Dean Creations

Before there was a business, there was always a project.

People sometimes ask how long I've been making things.

The honest answer is...I don't really know.

Long before there was a business, there was always a project.

A camera at my eye.

A crochet hook in my hand.

A piece of leather on the workbench.

I've always been drawn to creating things that invite people to stop, look a little closer, or see something in a different way.

Something Real

Jeremy Dean Creations didn't begin because I wanted to start a business.

It began because I wanted to make something real.

Something that wouldn't disappear with the next software update or get buried beneath tomorrow's social media posts.

Leather appealed to me for the same reason old journals, weathered maps, and well-used tools do.

They don't wear out. They wear in.

Every scratch tells a story. Every crease marks another mile. Every softened edge is evidence that something has been carried, trusted, and lived with.

That's the kind of work I wanted to create.

Somewhere Between Two Worlds

My roots are in Hawaiʻi.

Today, I call Texas home.

Those two places may seem worlds apart, but together they've shaped how I see craftsmanship.

Hawaiʻi taught me to appreciate story, culture, and connection. Texas has deepened my respect for hard work, patience, and building something with my own hands.

Jeremy Dean Creations lives somewhere between those two worlds.

At the Workbench

Some days the workshop is quiet except for the sound of thread pulling through leather.

Other days it's scattered with sketches, coffee cups, cameras, half-finished ideas, and projects that refuse to leave my head until I build them.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Not every adventure becomes a piece of leather.
But every piece begins with an adventure.

Field Notes

This journal exists for the same reason the workshop does.

To document the journey.

Some entries will be about new designs. Some will follow road trips, conversations, and unexpected discoveries. Others may simply be thoughts that found me while sitting at the workbench with a cup of coffee.

Not every adventure becomes a piece of leather.

But every piece begins with an adventure.

I'm glad you're here at the beginning.

Let's see where the road leads next.

Crafted by my story. Finished by yours.
